That is why we created the Novafem Protocol, three steps that help our patients to make better decisions from the beginning of their treatment, minimizing risks and costs, without creating false expectations. This protocol allows people who have trusted us to become happy moms, dads and families.
Initial assessment consultation
Our fertility gynecologists at your first consultation create your initial medical history, understand your desires and needs. Based on your history and what they find during your physical examination, our doctors begin to design a customized plan for you.
Protocol of study
Through hormonal, physical, serological and andrological examinations, our doctors will complete the information they need for the recommendation of your treatment. We determine your physical condition and define the best method for you.
Conclusive inquiry
Based on the results of the initial consultation and the diagnostic protocol, our team will define which treatment is most likely to be successful for you, and will indicate how much you should invest in both time and money, as well as the commitment on your part.
Artificial Insemination
It is a low complexity procedure that is performed in our fully equipped offices. Its main objective is to increase in a specific cycle, your pregnancy rate by matching a high concentration of sperm in the fallopian tube with the time of ovulation.
We recommend it in case you present:
- Mild to moderate semen quality alterations, such as asthenozoospermia or mild oligospermia
- Ovulation disorders
- Infertility of unknown origin
- Uterine factor infertility caused by endometriosis, myomatosis, uterine polyps or ectopic pregnancy, among others.
- Cervical factor infertility
- Difficulty or inability on the part of the male to deposit semen in vagina
- Also if you want to be a single mother or have a partner of the same sex. In the latter case, sperm banking is required.
In vitro fertilization
It is a highly complex assisted reproduction procedure, which allows to treat advanced fertility problems in order to achieve your pregnancy. It seeks to facilitate the union of eggs and sperm in the laboratory and thus obtain embryos that can later be implanted in the uterus.
We stimulate follicular growth and maturation of your eggs using oral, injected or combined medications for a period of 10 days on average and follow-up ultrasounds are performed, all under the strict supervision of our fertility specialist and later in the laboratory, The embryos are extracted and stored to be fertilized by your partner’s seminal sample and we evaluate the number and quality of the embryos obtained during the following days, until they are ready to be transferred to your uterus in a simple procedure that usually does not require anesthesia or hospitalization.
We recommend it if you present any of these situations:
- Significant decrease in the number and/or motility of spermatozoa or increase in sperm morphological alterations.
- Endometriosis
- Ovulation disorders
- Low ovarian reserve
- Failure of other treatments
- Older age
- Female surgical sterilization (pomeroy) and/or male surgical sterilization (vasectomy)
- Inheritable genetic diseases that require preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
Egg donation
In our egg donation program, young women undergo ovarian stimulation treatment and donate their eggs to others who need to become pregnant.
We recommend it in the following cases:
- Primary ovarian failure due to a numerical or structural alteration of the chromosomes (Turner's Syndrome, Swyer's Syndrome).
- Resistant Ovarian Syndrome (Savage's Syndrome)
- Premature ovarian failure (menopause before age 40)
- Advanced ovarian age
- Repeated failures in IVF
- Patients who have had their ovaries removed for different reasons (tumors, severe endometriosis (grade III, or IV), cancer, chemotherapy).
